Bratislava, SLOVAKIA, 24 – 27 June 2006
SympoTIC will be organized for the third time in the centre of Europe, in the capital of Slovakia, which became recently European Union member state. Traditionally the main technical program concentrated on trends in communications will be accompanied by one day workshop devoted to selected presentations from Sixth Framework Programme Information Society Technologies projects supported by EU. The organizers also have intention to provide a half day tutorial to all participants for free.
Bratislava in summer is an exciting place for tourists. It has significant historical monuments connected not only to the period when it was a crowning city. Many cultural events and good services infrastructure contributes to a pleasant stay of visitors.
The near Small Karpaty mountain region offers relaxing walks to medieval ruins in green woods and on south slopes it accommodates vineyards. The tradition of making wines here dates back to Roman times.
The organisers intention is to make the SympoTIC participants satisfied not only with the quality of technical program, but also with accompanying social program.
