NEXWAY project with the support of Slovak University of Technology would like to invite you to a Round Table Discussions with focus on "European master program in Wireless Communications". The Round Table will be held in the frame of a series of NEXWAY activities on 23 October 2004 in Bratislava - a tutorial session in the morning, Workshop in the afternoon and RT after the Workshop. These activities will be collocated with the International Conference on 24-26 Oct 2004, SympoTIC'04 (http://www.ktl.elf.stuba.sk/sympotic04/index.php).

The round table is a follow up of the NEXWAY activities towards A platform to have access to the best qualified European Master's Programmes. NEXWAY project developed a model curriculum for a Master of Science to guide the introduction of Master Programmes in the area of "Wireless and Mobile Communications" consistent with the Bologna agreement. This document is Del 3.1 can be downloaded from the project website www.nexway.net.

To best meet different requirements identified, two master programmes are proposed:

Bologna Wireless Master: a two year programme aimed at students who have already obtained a 3 or 4 years degree (equivalent to a bachelor).
European Wireless Master: one year highly specialized programme targeted at graduate students who have already obtained the Bologna Wireless Master or a comparable 5 years degree.

The question for the round table is "Are the offered European master programs up-to-date for a master degree in wireless communications".

We will discuss the methodology used for building an educational platform in wireless communications, a model curriculum, the proposed master programmes, requirements for training and education in enterprises, an active involvement of NAS countries.
